Enrolling a Windows Device
Enrolling a Windows device into Springdel enables centralized management under your organization’s policies and configurations. The process involves preparing the necessary installation packages, setting up a staging fleet and enrollment ID, and completing installation and activation on the Windows terminal. Once enrolled, the device automatically connects to Springdel and receives assigned applications and policies.
Key Benefits
- Centralized Device Management– Manage and monitor all enrolled PCs from the Springdel web console.
- Custom Enrollment Settings – Define fleet structures, PC naming formats, and enrollment roles.
- Streamlined Deployment – Use enrollment IDs to quickly onboard multiple Windows terminals.

Best Practices & Tips
- Stable Network Connection: Ensure the Windows device is connected to a reliable network during enrollment to prevent incomplete setup.
- Use a Staging Fleet: Always enroll devices into a staging fleet first without production profiles, verify successful check-in, and only then move them to the production fleet.
- Consistent Naming Conventions: Define a clear and consistent device naming policy (e.g., WIN-MARKETING-01) to simplify identification and reporting.
- Keep Installers Updated: Always use the latest versions of Springmatic Enterprise and Remote Control installers to avoid compatibility issues.
- Test Before Scale: Test the enrollment process with one or two pilot devices before deploying to the entire fleet.
- Document Configurations: Maintain a record of enrollment IDs, fleet assignments, and naming rules for easier auditing and troubleshooting.
- Offline Setup Preparedness: If devices lack Microsoft Store access, download and store the ADK installer in advance to avoid deployment delays.
