Android Enterprise: Remote Control

How to get set up and use Remote Control with Android Enterprise

Springdel strives to ensure feature to feature parody with all it's enrollment types. Various enrollment types do have differences in limitation and in scope, so some differences and variations do exist.

For Android Enterprise, remote control is not allowed using a dedicated app; rather a companion app, Springmatic Enterprise, is available which includes remote control as one of its features.

Get started with Springmatic Enterprise

Approve and Select Springmatic Enterprise from the Managed Play store in the Android Enterprise Profile.

The enrolled devices will download and install the application.

It's planned to make Springmatic Enterprise a default application for all Android Enterprise profiles from Springdel. This first step may not be necessary.

On the managed device, start the application. It will prompt to start screen casting, click 'START NOW'.

On first launch the application will prompt to enable remote control in the accessibility settings. Click 'Approve' and enable in the accessibility settings of the device.

Click 'Use service' and 'ALLOW' to enable. Enabling the service allows admins to remotely interact, not just view, the device for remote debugging functionality.
